I’m a textile designer and creative workshop facilitator based from The Art House in Wakefield. Through studying Printed Textiles at university, I discovered a deep love for pattern, colour, and the rhythm of making by hand - I was more at home in the print studio, rather than designing at a computer (and still am!) I began exploring ways to print with less equipment, and that’s when I found block printing — a slower, more tactile process that instantly felt right.
What I love most about block printing is its simplicity and history — it connects us to centuries of makers who created beauty with just their hands, natural materials, and time. My designs grow from that same spirit: considered, sustainable, and rooted in a respect for nature and craft.
For over five years, I’ve been running workshops that share this way of making with others. I love seeing people switch off from the fast pace of everyday life and surprise themselves with what they are capable of creating — something real, imperfect, and lasting.
